A Dr. Mel Film
ABOUT THE PRODUCTION COMPANY
On the Lot Productions, LLC intends to develop and produce several
genre films including action-adventure, romance, drama, thriller, fantasy,
science-fiction and comedy films in the next two years. Embracing the story-telling passion and
filmmaking vision of Dr. Mel Caudle, her plan is to always have one film in
pre-production, one in production, one in post-production and one or more
premiering.
Her dream is finally coming to fruition. While filming DARK BLUE, Varla Jean and the Mushroomheads,
starring Jeffrey Roberson premiered at the Pyrtania Theater in New Orleans on
the third night of shooting and was featured on the front page of Gambit magazine.
Likewise, the feature film A.D.A.M written by Dr. Mel Caudle is in development phase. The script has been completed, and funds are being sought from investors and crowd funding. Actors for this project, will shortly be attached as Dr. Mel and her team tap into the LOCANOLA Talent pool from The Keystroke Killer project. The talent pool consists of more than 2,400 talented actors who have already been screened by Dr. Mel and her associate producer Robby Cook Stroud. This process saves time and money from the traditional casting methods employed by "Old Time" Hollywood. Caudle is a visionary filmmaking tapping into the creative structure she already has in place from not only the actor talent pool, but also from the gifted talented crews she has worked with on previous projects including the Emmy Award winning director, Neema Barnette, Director of Photography Leslie Small, Andy Sparraco, and Michael Anderson. Caudle's entire vision allows for low-cost production for maximum profits.
Another film, Dreamweaver, based on the novel of the same name written by Michael
Ragsdale, is also available and slated for production in a seven package film structure. Also waiting in the wings is the screenplay The Lost Disciple
co-written by Duane Gross.
The feature
film Never Stop Running, also written
by Dr. Mel Caudle, can be produced on a low budget with high production
value. In addition, On the Lot
Productions, LLC has optioned four additional screenplays in a myriad of genres
ready for production including ,West Nile Virus, co-written with the award winning director Todd Bradley. The strong story-lines of each as well as the
variety positions On the Lot Productions, LLC in the forefront for a continual
stream of films.
Dr. Mel Caudle is an internationally recognized published author of
books, magazine articles and newspaper. Her
first book sold into 38 countries and is still used as the benchmark for school
safety and crisis management around the globe.
She has had numerous articles as the feature articles and several made
the front cover. Her book, The Reality of Reality TV: Reality Show Business Plans has fast become the "GO TO BIBLE" for reality show creators and producers. Additionally, her screenwriting books are highly recommended as a "MUST HAVE" for any screenwriters. These books include:
